About us: Why we are here, what we do and what we stand for

MG Cosmeceuticals and Pomessence are the result of a journey for something we all seek at one stage or another in our lives: Purpose. Some write books; some climb peaks; some raise amazing children; some have careers that enable recognition and accomplishments ... and many of us search for the legacy that we want to leave behind. I am just another person finding my way on that path.

That led me to what I have to share. I struggled with "problem" skin throughout my 20s. Despite being a classic "extrovert," I know what it feels like to have your confidence shattered -- not wanting to look people in the eye, not wanting to initiate conversations, not having the confidence to move your life forward ... all because of the way your skin makes you feel.

One of my talents as an adult is my ability to build confidence and inspire a "can-do" spirit in others. That got me thinking about how I could impact more people ... and led me to cosmeceuticals. What if I could help others avoid and overcome the skin problems I faced?

Potions and mixology are part of my DNA: My maternal grandmother was a true Old World apothecary, a chemist with her own pharmacy in Europe before WWII. When I was six, I loved spending summers mixing potions and learning Latin to be able to discern the mysterious contents of the big white jars that filled her shelves.

I spent three years working with cosmeceutical chemists to formulate something that would be a great line of skincare products, literally providing confidence in a bottle! I fine-tuned my blend of antioxidants, which, according to my research, has not been used in combination. Through clinical trials, I've honed the formula into what I believe is the best skincare system I've tried. And it's not just me. Read the testimonials from the clinical trials!
